Shanghai, May 24, 2022 – Quectel, the world’s leading provider of total IoT solutions, announced today that its 5G communication module has successfully completed joint commissioning with NVIDIA’s Jetson AGX Orin platform.

Jetson AGX Orin is a small and powerful artificial intelligence supercomputer recently released by NVIDIA. The integration with Quectel’s 5G module also means that global customers can easily achieve 5G network connection when developing with this product portfolio. The advantages of 5G, such as ultra-high speed, high reliability, and low latency, are brought into a wide range of vertical markets.

The joint commissioning was successfully completed based on Quectel 5G Sub-6GHz module RM500Q, NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin platform and Tianzhun AI edge computing gateway. Based on this, the "Quectel 5G module + Jetson AGX Orin platform" combination solution will help developers greatly save debugging time and costs, lower the R&D threshold, improve stability, and promote faster time-to-market for customer terminals.

With the artificial intelligence Internet of Things (AIoT) becoming a new trend in the development of the Internet of Things, many important fields have put forward higher requirements for AI performance such as wireless communication capabilities and high computing power, such as high-end robots, unmanned ground vehicles, low-speed autonomous driving, Smart transportation and other terminal products and scenarios. With the excellent networking performance of Quectel 5G modules and the powerful computing power of Jetson AGX Orin, the above computing-intensive AIoT applications can achieve multi-G bps data transfer rates and edge computing performance of up to 275 trillion operations per second.
